Public transport avoids parking and one-way car logistics. It works best when the trip stays within the urban cores.
Direct drive
A direct highway day is practical, but construction and traffic require margin. Return a rental before the city stay when it is no longer needed.
Slow route
Add Centre-du-Quebec, Mauricie or south-shore stops only when the trip has enough nights. One extra night can turn a transfer into a regional experience.
