Gaspesie is one of Quebec’s classic road trips, but it is long enough to punish rushed planning.
Minimum shape
A useful circuit needs multiple bases and several full days. The exact number depends on the start point and whether the route includes major hikes, boat trips or park stays.
Clockwise or counter-clockwise
Both directions can work. Choose based on accommodation availability, weather and how the route connects to Bas-Saint-Laurent or New Brunswick.
Anchor stops
- Bas-Saint-Laurent transition
- Gaspesie National Park area
- Forillon and the north coast
- Perce area
- South-shore villages and return route
Margin
Keep a buffer for weather, marine departures, road delays and the temptation to stop at every viewpoint.
